In the Countdown, Willie, Aaron & Tim count down their Top 5 Uses of Lightning Lane at World Disney World. We shift gears a bit for the main segment, speculating about possible changes coming to the Genie+/Lightning Lane system that will permit more advance planning for guests.

Josh D’Amaro, Chairperson of Disney Parks, Experiences & Products has said publicly a couple of times recently (at the D23 event and again at the EarMarked Owners Summit) that they’re working to incorporate some form of Genie+ advance planning, with an eye toward simplifying the guest experience. But no details of specific changes have been announced yet.

They’re the closest Moderate category resorts to Disney Springs, and despite being recently refurbished, they seem to get lost in the conversation about Moderate resorts, compared to the addition of the Skyliner to Caribbean Beach Resort and Gran Destino Tower changing the landscape at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
